11th Philippine Flag-Raising Ceremony
June 14, 2025 at the Richmond City Hall Plaza
The 11th Philippine Flag-Raising Ceremony is a huge success. It was attended by dignitaries, community leaders, community non-profit organizations and the general public. The attendees were entertained by captivating performances by Filipino artists showcasing their music and dances. The event promoted community engagement and highlighted the diverse array of resources and services available in the community.
The dignitaries in attendance were His Worship Mayor Malcolm Brodie and some Councilors, Vancouver Philippine Consul General Gina Jamoralin and Vice Consul Marco Hardy, Richmond Member of Parliament and Member of the Legislative Assembly. Some Richmond School Board Trustees attended the event.
The presentation of the Certificate of “Proclamation of Filipino Heritage Month” in the City of Richmond by His Worship Mayor Malcolm Brodie added significance to the event and promoted community spirit and celebration of cultural diversities.
